CD shopping . Recommendations please.

In the mood to get me a few new CD's later. Lets hear some recommendations please for some good albums.Preferably rock stuff. No garage,dance,techno or anything that's being blasted out of a Nove on a local one way system of a Sat night.
Is there a new paul Weller album out ? I just heard a new song on XFM which sounded pretty good.

My lad has persuaded me to to the merits of System of a Down and Queens of the Stone Age. Albums by either worth a listen if you like something heavyish but intelligent.

Two latest ones that I have got are Timo Maas and Royksopp... both a bit dance like but very good. Not the type you would hear in a club but electronic nontheless...

Oasis is pretty good but current fav is Jamiroquai. Funky and very good. Much more edgy (is it really?) than the other releases.

I cannot recommend highly enough the Eagles Of Death Metal CD called Sex Love Death Metal . Don't be put off by the name - this band, with Joshe Homme of QUOTSA on drums, sound nothing like death metal (which incidentally i do like) and are bloody excellent - a kind of dirty and raw Rolling Stones/White Stripes rock n roll sound, excellent guitars with a melodic pop voice over the top.

Can't agree with The Bravery though. Download Honest Mistake and Unconditional off itunes, the rest of the album is a waste of packaging, shit in a round plastic form.

I'm going to recommend Clor - Clor, sort of danceable indie discoey stuff, Want Two by Rufus Wainwright, and Mesmerize or Toxicity by System of a Down, a stunning band often overlooked by people alarmed at their fanbase of 14year old moshers!
