Lag on Android, browsing with mobile view (adverts?)

Browsing on my Android phone (p20 pro, with google chrome), whilst read through threads there is a very obvious delay/lag experienced when scrolling. It isn't smooth at all.
When changed to desktop view it resolves this, when browsing the 'forum' itself it is smooth & fine. Only 'in' threads the issue occurs.
Once in a while Chrome will block an advert due to 'excessive resource usage' so I am thinking they are linked, some 'bad ads' are hogging the resources but most of the time not enough for Chrome to block them. Desktop view/Forum browsing uses a different ad set so escape problems.
Could this be looked into please?
