Specialist Legal representation for Speeding case
Discussion
Before I start i want to stress that i am not condoning this situation but a mate who's had a tough time got caught speeding yesterday at 120mph on the motorway. He is looking for some specialist legal representation. Does anybody have any recommendations? he is south coast based. thanks

AGT law. Posts on here. Knows his stuff and seems to have a high percentage success rate in mitigating difficult cases.

Is your user-name prounced:

Or (and I think this the most likely):
Vanden Crass?
Pronounce it how you like, he’s not condoning the speed but adding in they’ve had a tough time. Guess what, having a tough time has no link to driving at a speed that marks this friend out as a tVanden Craaahhh

If he’s driving at 120 mph it’s the others he’s putting at danger that I care about.
Hopefully he gets a lengthy ban and fine
Plenty of sections of the UK motorway with very long sight lines - where 120 for a short burst on a clear road, in an appropriate car, would be:Hopefully he gets a lengthy ban and fine
1) Yes, illegal
2) Not putting anyone other than the the driver in material danger
So maybe separate the legality of the action from the automatic assessment that he has actually put anyone in danger.

If you have nothing relevant or helpful to say to the op, then why post, muppet?Hopefully he gets a lengthy ban and fine
Hate these fake outrage, professionally annoyed responses. We've all done 120, if you haven't, then get a life. Or a car, when you grow up.

Possibly but have we done it, got caught and trying to not to take responsibility for the actions? The law is pretty clear whatever the tough time they might have they were the one that does and got caught...
Who's saying he's not taking responsibilities for his actions?? Ill hazard a guess he wants it to be as painless as possible. In a world where the justice system really does beggar belief at times I hope this lapse of concentration and speeding offence gets a light punishment... unless of course he was weaving in and out of traffic at 120 on a busy motorway!
None of us know the scenario.
Good luck

Well for most when some starts saying hard time etc you know they are trying to deflect, and I am pretty sure driving at 120mph there isn't much if all you can say to really better just take fine and ban like a real man or women, at that speed will be an instant Ban plus fine.In a world where the justice system really does beggar belief at times I hope this lapse of concentration and speeding offence gets a light punishment... unless of course he was weaving in and out of traffic at 120 on a busy motorway!

By definition it is not an instant ban. There may be mitigations which need the correct plea.

120 come on. Would love to know at that speed you can persuade the courts to issue a fine? Keep us updated OP will be interesting..
My point was it isn't an instant ban, it awaits the courts
. (yes, sorry, pedantry)No, but potential for mitigation for length of ban?
And ensuring the process has been followed.

The thing is how much would all this cost because top level specialist advice, 10k...? If this value is less than your cost then knock yourself out, but for most being caught at that speed is a done deal.
