PTS questions for a newbie.
Discussion
Very happy as I have got an allocation for a Spyder with PTS. I have submitted the spec, which has been accepted and paid the deposit. The delivery date is currently on the system as October but given the current issues I am expecting this to change. This is the first PTS car that I have had so it’s all a bit new. What is the normal lead time for a PTS car? Presumably it’s a bit longer than normal? The spec freeze date is mighty early.
I asked for the roll hoops and the interior trim pieces in body colour. This has been knocked back by Porsche, no real drama but presumably these bits can be easily removed and painted or wrapped later?
I am assuming that the PTS option is best declared for the insurance? It does add a chunk more cost and risk to the policy.
Be great if you could order a touch up stick or a bit of left over paint at the same time, perhaps they could put the leftovers in the boot
Any other tips or tricks I should know?

so much info yet not the info we want....what colour? We ordered a PTS car a few years ago….from memory spec locks something like three months in advance, Car took six months from order. One of the reasons for that is that PTS cars are produced in batches….they make PTS cars once every six months roughly so you’re very lucky that your build slot coincides with that window.
I was told that the Exclsuive options like you had turned down by the factory get fitted after production, Car gets made with normal parts then goes off to have those bits fitted….too complicated having bespoke parts delivered to the line apparently. Someone like Shmee made a video about this when their car was being built. I guess they turned it down because the factory wants to get cars made ASAP.
And yes what colour is it !!!

To answer 2 of your questions:
I've never been charged more on my insurance for PTS that I'm aware of. I've had 3 Macan's the current one is PTS and the premiums have stayed relatively constant.
The last time I asked a year or so ago you can't buy a touch up stick for a PTS colour from Porsche, they just don't make or sell them. You can however order a kit from https://drcolorchip.com/ if they make one for your colour code.
