I have a weird fault recently starting with my car- '14 plate 520d (f11) with pro nav

basically when listening to music while driving the bluetooth connection and the usb connection to the phone both cut seem to cut out for a second and then have to reconnect itself. This seems to specifically happen at lower speeds and when the steering wheel is turned slightly to the left, almost seems like a specific steering angle causes something to cut out.

I'm 99% certain it is not the cable connecting the phone, its a genuine apple cable and only been used in the car. also not sure why this would effect the bluetooth connection also (but only noticed when i've had the phone plugged in, but still using bluetooth). But it seems like the radio is absolutely fine, it doesnt seem to cut out at all........ Could it be that the phone is on the latest ios software and does something funky with the cable connection that the car software doesnt like?

weirdly I had a very similar problem with a vw golf, that transpired was an issue with the ignition barrel wiring that caused the whole radio to cut out/off. But the BMW doesnt have a traditional ignition that I can plug a key into.

Does anyone have any thoughts? has anyone heard anything like this before? I dont want to just hand it to an auto electrician and see what they can find.
