It looks like the car originally owned by Sir Arthur Poncy-Smythe and only ever chauffeur-driven to the races; if so, with such a fantastic provenance, I could see that easily making in excess of the £2.3 squillion auction estimate (plus auction fees). Once restored, a certain contender for Pebble Beach.

I had one that was many, many days old. Mind you, previous owner had seen fit to fill the hole in the spare wheel well with a cloth, that dropped onto the exhaust and caught fire on my way to Snetterton
