Hi All, I am new to this site so hopefully in the right place. My Vantage start up screen is blank, the one where on start up it say Power, Beauty, Soul, Aston Martin.....then you get speed readings and any error messages.

Has anyone else had this issue and any advise on how to fix it.

Many Thanks

Hi there, I know this is an old question but I also have recently had this problem develop on my 2006 Vantage, did you get it repaired or have to replace the complete instrument cluster?

I remember that happening to me a few times but it always fixes itself the next time I start the engine. Try the old trick of disconnecting the vattery

Thread bump as this has just happened to me, car is a 2011 V8S and is in dry storage on a conditioner.

Fired it up for the first time in 9 months, blank screen. No amount of on off cycling is making it return. Also failed MOT on the sports catalysts not cleaning up enough CO despite getting them as hot as possible and both washer pumps (replaced by me 2 years ago) have decided they don’t work anymore. The car hasn’t even moved since the last MOT. The joys of a VH Vantage - these cars really do not like to be left standing.

The screen display failure I haven’t seen before. I will today try a battery disconnect today as mentioned in other posts.

Does anyone know of the screen issue or knows if there is a fix? - it’s just blank. No mileage readout, no cycling, no ‘pure aston martin’ nothing. All other electrics (except washers) working fine.

Quick question - does it come back if you cycle the push button on the indicator stalk? I know that one of the states is a clear screen, before you get fuel consumption >> speed>> etc. Just a thought.

I did the battery disconnect a couple of times but still no joy. I then took the car to Maidstone’s brand new Aston Specialist (guys are ex P&L) for them to sort the pumps and remove the BR cats and refit the OEM ones (it’s why I kept them…). I can’t do anything with no tools and not even a place to live. They have only seen the blank screen issue once before, on an older DB9.

Nice outfit they have there, just 9 months in and the place is already full of wonderful classics, multiple DBSV8, V8 zagato, DB4 and 6, multiple other V8s, a very nice Lagonda and loads of VH stuff in for bits and bobs like mine. Place is already chock full and you have to book well in advance, so it was decent of them to take mine at short notice. How that SE corner has been crying out for a decent local AM specialist.

Regarding the blank screen, hasn’t anyone else ever seen or heard of this issue ?
