DB9 GT prices

I bought my 2016 DB9 GT Volante at 9k miles in August 2019 for £91.5k and there are now two on PistonHeads for just under £100k with more miles.

Looks like my car is appreciating in value or at least worth what I paid for it after two years of ownership. This seems surreal after losing £20k in two years on the 2010 DB9 Volante I bought in 2017 for £63k and traded in for £42k against my current car.

A year and a bit of lockdowns means that folk have not been spending on holidays or meals out or commuting to work by train. Second hand car prices are just one area where inflation is returning.

Have you tried to book a decorator recently ?

I would imagine there is quite a spread between the buying and selling price for Astons.

The advertised price for DB7s at dealers is a few thousand up on where it was ten years ago but I don't think that means I can sell my car for more than I paid for it.

Still good news though that they are not depreciating like a stone.

Yes, often about £10,000.
Not an easy way to make a fortune though.
Imagine how many new cars a Ford dealer must sell every week.
Try selling on average fewer than one new car a week, then paying for those opulent premises, employees, high value car stock, etc..

Did the same - bought a DB9 GT coupe in October of 2019 and similar car/mileage examples of the GT are advertised now for around £11K up from the price I paid. Wouldn't get that if I flogged it to a main dealer, but pleasantly surprised to be have an automobile that is apparently appreciating for the first time, well, ever...
