Is it just me, or does this thing look like the kind of kitsch crap you'd find in the 'A Bit Council' or 'Local Facebook Groups' threads as a joke in bad taste?

It's by their art critic and I'm not sure if he's ever seen any art that he has actually liked yet.

Jolly nice for the boys, but why a statue at all? I mean plenty of kids from less privileged backgrounds lose their Mum/Dad in tragic circumstances... .
