Looking for an all in one system that has great sound across the range (mostly classical music), can stream from my iPhone, has DAB, Spotify and can play CD's.

Read on here about the Technics Ottava, but some online reviews say the sound quality and depth is lacking.
I know that the Naim unit rates highly but does not have a CD.

Saw the Ruark R5 has some nice reviews online, looks great and has all the features I'm looking for. It also has similar power output to my aging non-bluetooth B&O Beoplay speaker set.

Anyone have the R5 ? Does it sound as good as it looks ?

Thanks in advance

Ruark make a beautifully warm sound and I have an R3 which is stunning. Wonderful design, great functionality and just great speakers.

Thanks for the quick reply.
Do you use it on it's own or part of a speaker group with R1's ??

I have an R5. Use it 'standalone', not grouped with other speakers.

Would recommend without hesitation. Great sounding, compact and good looking.

I also like that it has a dedicated phono input for my turntable.

Ah great - thanks for that.
Looking to see if I can get one here as buying it direct now would be subject to importation duty 🙁

I use mine as a stand-alone in the bedroom and love waking up to the sound and falling asleep to whatever takes my fancy. You will not be disappointed. An you not have one delivered to a friend in the UK who then forwards it or you pop over and pick it up? Travel restrictions should ease in July.

Cool thanks for that.
I’m not sure restrictions will ease but lets see.
Have found somewhere here that sells them - have emailed them

Thanks again everyone

Another R3 owner here, looked at the R5 but it wouldn't fit in the very specific place we had in mind for it, see pic below. Its linked via optical to the tv, via bluetooth to a turntable, via the internet for internet radio and spotify. I'm lucky we have a decent DAB signal in our area, so use that as well.
The sound is fantastic, especially considering the limitations of where I have it located.

So nice it came home with me !!

Now trying to setup a multi room setup with some smaller speakers I had. The unDok app is not very helpful !

Congratulations upon your new purchase. The sound is wonderful when the speaker settles down.
