UK 24 Hours of Le Mans | Booking now open

That's right, we're bringing Le Mans to the UK - here's how you can join us | Update!

Since 2009, we’ve taken hundreds of you to the 24 Hours of Le Mans with our longstanding partner, 1st Tickets. But ever since our 10th anniversary in 2019, we’re yet to set foot on the hallowed grounds of Bleu Nord.

Hopes of spectating at the Circuit de la Sarthe were dashed for 2020 and the sun has set on any chance of our private campsite happening in 2021 – so we thought, why not bring it to the UK instead?

Well, that’s exactly what we’re doing from 20-22 August. Why stay at home with the warmth of your bed and comfort of your sofa when you could come and sleep in a field with a bunch of strangers?

You and your friends could join us for Stay Mans at our exclusive campsite at Whittlebury, Northamptonshire, where we’ll be recreating the relaxed, friendly atmosphere you’d find on our private campsite at Le Mans, and watch the race with bar and toilets in easy reach.

Silverstone circuit is just a stone’s throw away, where you can go and explore the Silverstone museum for your racing fix outside of the campsite.

To recreate the atmosphere, there will be:

  • Marquee with TVs for watching the race
  • Large outdoor screen
  • Licensed bar
  • Catering options (breakfast and evening meal)
  • Spacious tent pitches with option for pre-erected tents
  • Motorhome spaces with option for electric hook-up
  • Glamping options with comfortably sized bell tents
  • Full toilet and shower facilities
  • Option to add Silverstone museum access

You can also extend your stay with early arrivals from Wednesday 18 and later departures on Monday 23 August.

Packages start from £60/pp for two nights and you can book yours here.

Any chance of combining it with a track day around Silverstone?

Already booked up for this weekend but it was a pleasant surprise to see my old MX-5 on the front page this morning, even if my mate's Tamora was the main focus of the shot hehe

Registered.

Wondering if this is on Woodlands.
Be good if some entertainment could be laid on, bands etc. Should be good by August.

Is Alan going?

I worry this is going to be hard to drum up interest for among my car enthusiast friends, but I'll certainly try to join.

Thanks for making the effort.

But most importantly, it’s says includes ‘breakfast and dinner’ now is that proper dinner at 12 noon or evening meal, tea?

Nice Tamora picture.

I will be in my comfy bed, but hope it goes well.

There's no mention of lunch, tea or supper so I suspect it will be dinner.

Will there be a field full of irritating and very noisy Dutch next door for the full Le Mans experience?

Good effort, but there's no mistaking that 24 hours at Silverstone is missing a certain... je ne sais quoi!

Not feeling it to be honest.

I don't want the catering, not fussed about the bar and I can watch it at home for free and get a beer from the fridge whenever I want one.

But best of luck and those that go, enjoy!

Have registered interest, if there's a good few decently sized screens to watch the race on, can see it being entertaining enough if there's a few people there as well, although agreed it will lack a certain "I don't know what" as the French would say hehe

I hope there's a "luke warm stubbies of 33" bar option, if so I'd like to order 200 in advance for the mrs and I, for which hopefully there is a reasonable discount hehe

Is there really demand for this?

Sounds like going to watch the euro’s final at your local 5 a side place. Yes, both places are football related but it’s not the same is it?

I think that's kind of the point though. Sure, going to Le Mans or Wembley would be ideal, but if you can't then being somewhere else with a group of like-minded people is surely the next best thing. The atmosphere beats sitting watching it on your own in both cases.

Oooooh, I like this. Whilst I agree that we'd all rather be at Le Mans, this could be a good alternative to take in some atmosphere and chat sh!t with fans of the eternal race.

Top tip watch it on eurosport , buy bier a bagette some cheese and if you really must get some mates round to park on your lawn and pitch thier tents and job is a good'n.
Anyone who drives to Silverstone and thinks this is going to capture any of the atmosphere has lost the plot ,
The only point of enduring all the lack of sleep and paying the earth is to actually be at the event you know watch cars racing for 24 hrs or am I missing something?

We did enquire but sadly not this time around. I desperately want to get our Silverstone Sunday Services back on the calendar but it has been a struggle for a couple of years now (obvious reasons aside!). Fingers crossed we'll be back there in 2022.

So far 1st Tickets have had pretty much the same number of people register interest for this event that we'd get for the real deal – so yes, I'd say there is biggrin

Ben, do I need to report this thread as being in the wrong place?

Surely it should be in the Le Mans section?

Booked this morning for my group of regulars for exactly this reason. I'm relying on Aldi to provide the warm stubby beers , now I need to find somewhere to supply the spicy red sausages!
