MP3 editing software

[thegreatsoprendo]

Hi can anyone recommend any mp3 editing software, preferably that can be downloaded free of charge? I mainly want to use it for chopping existing mp3's into smaller chunks.

The software you're looking for probably falls into the "sequencer" catagory

I use steinbergs "cubase" go to the steinberg site, there are free trial downloads

Try Audacity. It's free and available from SourceForge. For MP3's you will also need the LAME mp3 encoder plugin, but it's just a question of downloading and copying a single additional file (full instructions and download locations provided). Available here:

http://audacity.sourceforge.net/

Hope this helps
