M5 60mph limit

Any M5/M6 commuters on here ? We've been saddled with a permanent 60mph limit on the Northern end of the M5 now (for air quality purposes!) Northbound, it starts about halfway between J3 & J2. I went southbound yesterday from J2 wich has the 60mph limit signs on the entry slip and a repeater on the main carriageway, but for the life of me I can't recall seeing the "Back to NSL" sign after that - Am I missing something ?

Yes.... The big gantry on the LH bend after J2 just as the road starts going down has NSL signs

Thanks for that.So the limit changes at a different point depending on whether you're travelling north or south ?

The limit is all across the raised section that was repaired over the past 3 years.

Another pointless speed limit when its purpose is disapearing as people get EV's

I was and hoping that I don't go back to it (WFH)

During the evening rush hour you would be very lucky to get over 50 mph on Jn 2-the M6 and is generally stop-start. My commute was J3 M5 to J11 M6.

Distance is so small it will have little effect on journey time.
