Been looking at the 992 recently and must say I am growing fond of the way it looks, so it got me thinking at circa £90k with some well chosen extras it looks good value, but there is no manual which would be a must for me.Now I know there could be a T (perhaps October release this year if like the 991.2)which may address this but haven't seen any leaks.
If there is a T then a lightly optioned example would be about £90-95k if following same pricing as the 991.2 base/T.

Only if it's a T IMO.

Hi I’m interested in a base 992 manual . OPC reckons porsche have no plans to release one. I don’t really think the S is worth the extra money just for a manual. What’s the chances of these being released this year?

have you considered a 718 GTS 4.0. It's £20K less than the base 911 before you even start considering options.
And yep its a £12.5K jump from the 911 base to S (again before considering options) to get a manual. That is crazy money.

Wanted a new 718 spyder but not going to happen so as an after thought was thinking of buying a 981 spyder but for the same money I decide to edge my bets and get my name down for the 718bgts which comes in around £76k. ( IMHO in this crazy market a lot of second hand Porsche is looking way over priced)
Also fancied a manual 991.2 base/T but yet again prices are over inflated for the time being so if you don't mind waiting new is the way to go hence my interest in a manual 992

I find there is something quite ‘retro’ about a base model with a manual gearbox and just the essential options.

911s used to be considered quite austere and functional, and I find that quite endearing.

I still haven’t warned to the 992, but if I was to go for one, it would be a new base model with manual gearbox (if available) and a restrained options list.

However, I would be tempted by PTS, in a rare ‘70s colour, to give it individuality,

I would be intrerested to hear what people think these are assuming the options are kept to a bare minimum. I don't know what options there are as I will never have one but radio and BT for phone would be enough for me (and bucket seats perhaps) - in a manual of course.

I'd forgo almost all of the options for an amazing colourway, although the second-hand market will either love it or hate it.

I'm hoping we get a manual 'T' announced on the 992 before the end of the year at the previous model ticked a lot of boxes for me. I don't think the base Carrera will get a manual other than this.

I'd consider a lightly (ish) specced based PDK 992 Carrera also from new however.. Agree ref PTS being very desirable (Oak Green ftw), although I do like Aventurine.

For me, I'd want sports exhaust, sports chrono, the 'plus' sports seats and maybe a bit of alcantara on the wheel and that would be it.

Nothing is essential but to make it a bit more comfortable and lift the interior I would go for the following. 2k on wheels on a base model defeats the object imho.

Metallic colour.
Colour crests on wheels.
Sports tailpipes.
Folding mirrors.
Sportex interior or black leather w crayon stitching
Crests on headrests.
Smoking pack
Storage pack
Coloured belts.

That’s 87.5k. If not worried about warranty spend 1200 on a Lichfield tune to 500hp, get the callipers painted and not many things can beat that at just under 90k.

I can’t see a T being released until 2nd gen and even then it won’t be a narrow body. More likely to see a 60th anniversary base car variant with a manual.

Wouldn’t it be good to be a fly on the wall in the office where Porsche marketing discuss all this stuff and here the reasoning behind what choices or to be made available, or not.
Guess it’s mostly and the £ profit rather than the car.
4.0lt NA stripped out manual base model might take sales from the more profitable “posher” models, or would it? Perhaps only in Pistonheads land.

Circa £90k otr , no service for 2 years, 3 years warranty and roadside assist so when you look at the cost of some of the secondhand cars on the market looks bloody good value.
IMHO car don't need much more power same engine as in the S/GTS what's not to like
