God, The Seventh Day
On the seventh day the Lord looked upon his work and saw that it was good. He spoke unto Adam saying "I have placed you upon the world and it is good. I have given you warmth, food, shelter and a bird with no clothes on. What more could you wanteth?". And the Lord saw that Adam was of a weary countenance. "Adam, you have a weary countenance" sayeth the Lord. "Indeed my Lord and I am ashamed of it for, amidst this bounty, what have I to have wearied of?"
"That's what I was thinking" sayeth the Lord. "It smacks of ingratitude if you ask me". Adam fell upon the dust and rent his hair, knowing that he had been spoilt in the sight of the Lord. This done he spoke unto God, saying "I don't want to seem whingey. It's just these rich folk get right up mine. Them and the mechanics. Oh lord! Why did you have to make so many mechanics? All day long I have to listen to the rich men saying how much money they have and the mechanics just stand about holding socket spanners and looking stupid. Really Lord, it's enough to drive you to apples."
The Lord smiled upon Adam for he could see that his creation had a point. "I have a plan" sayeth the Lord. "Oh Good." sayeth Adam. And the Lord placed His hands upon the earth and formed from the dust a small red chariot.
The rich men fell upon the chariot and their loins were filled with desire but the rich men knew not the incantation of working that would move the chariot. The mechanics knew the incantation of working and that it was oft needed. They too fell upon the chariot with their charms and at each utterance relieved the rich men of some of their coins. Soon the rich men were not rich and the mechanics were not idle. And the Lord looked upon Adam whose countenance was now altogether smilier and upon the rich men who were not rich and upon the mechanics who were not idle. Then the Lord looked upon the small red chariot and He saw that it was good and He said. "Let it be called Ferrari. And I shall make myself one too."
