2021 530e : Random Range Generator

Hi,

recently came out of an Audi e-Tron into a new 530e X-drive.

Have now done about 1,500 miles and struggling to get my head around how badly the battery range indicator is calibrated. I have had it show everything from 42 miles range to 2 miles range on a full battery (and virtually everything in between).

For context, this is doing doing my normal commute over and over so no huge variation in driving style / speed etc. Having ran a pure EV for the last year and my wife has an i3S, I am all too aware of how driving style affects battery range. My usage has been so consistent that I struggle to understand how the range can vary so widely.

Anyone had an experience of BMW hybrids - how does it compare to you experience.

2020 330e my range indicator is the same i expected it to go up as the temperatures go up but it just seems to display what it wants when it wants.
