Morning all.

We need a 70s Classic Ford inspected, as sculduggery has been performed on it.
I have carried out considerable research on the car in question and know 100 per cent what has gone on.

Has anyone any recommendations re anyone “ competent “ who can carry one out ?
I believe that certain Dealers carry these out on behalf of the DVLA ?

I inspect classic cars, but obviously can’t do a report on my own vehicle.

Is there a technical advisor from an owners' club who might help?

Not aware of that.

Its usually Owners Clubs inspection by nominated Club official , or in case of verification on import, DVLA have a 3rd party company that is under contract to DVLA for VIN inspections, but these people have no model/make specific knowledge.

I'm guessing its a Capri?

If a RS31 or RS26, then AVO OC or RSOC would be your best contact.
Any other Capri model, then one of the Capri clubs would be where to go.

Just saying 70's Ford expert is a bit vague, as an Escort expert might know FA about a Capri or a Cortina.

Neither of those 2 will be suitable I’m afraid......

Dealers do carry out inspections.

I find that notion quite comical... laugh

Most of the ones I've come across don't even know enough correct info to sell a car correctly, let alone inspect one with any authority.

Not on behalf of the DVLA they don't.

You've been given good advice above.

As I have said above, neither of those two clubs will be of any use.

Thanks, but they have little knowledge of the model concerned.

Perhaps if you disclosed which model it is you would get better help.
