Looking for Mirror | Chim 500, right sight

Dear all,
I am urgently looking for a right sight (driver‘s door) mirror for my 500 Chimaera.
Problem is that a previous owner used a really nice looking metal cap between door and mirror - which, unfortunately, makes it impossible to remove the mirror without damaging it (or the door, but I „prefer“ keeping the damage as little as possible).
So, if anybody has a spare mirror, I would be delighted to buy it.

Many thanks for your suggestion. The issue here is that before I can think of using a replacement for the toadstool/mirror woes, I need to remove the mirror. And that is the problem: Because of the metal cap being used here, it is impossible to reach the screws etc that fix the mirror. Therefore, the garage has to break the existing mirror, i.e. in order to get to the woes.
As soon as the current mirror is remove and a new one is enabled, I can contemplate to fix it with the solution you suggested

Have you get a better photo? Don't understand what or where the "metal cap" is you refer to?
Can't really see what's going on there but, as others have said, I see no reason to break the mirror.
Possibly you, or your garage, don't quite understand how it comes apart?

when the cars were built they had a plastic collar around the mirror stem. It served no purpose other than to make it look tidier. The upper part of the collar was of reduced diameter so that you could lift it and reveal (just!) the grub screw. As years went by several owners made replacement collars out of stainless steel, which appears to be what you have. There is also an excellent kit available to raise the mirror 10mm which makes access to the grub screw very easy.
In any event the screw is under the collar but if the extension kit has not been fitted it is hard to see.
Don't let the garage cut the mirror, you don't need to do this!
