Not for the state-sponsored corruption that he inflicted upon South Africa (these cases are still proceeding) but the simple charge of contempt of court for refusing to give evidence to the Zondo commission investigating corruption.

Who cares what the charges were to put him away? Hopefully this will only be the first of many guilty verdicts against an evil man who cost his country tens of billions of dollars

It looks like anarchy in SA just now. Rioting and looting galore. Some of the shopping areas look like a war zone. 72 lives lost is crazy.

Some of the scenes coming out of SA in the last few hours are pretty horrific and it looks like law and order has completely collapsed in parts of the country

Seems it’s mainly in kwazulu natal and Durban, not sure if it’s spreading countrywide

Not good at all

Not a fan of Zuma at all. This rioting is not a surprise considering his supporters considered him a great saviour for them. I'd love to know the positives he's done for his people?

I do feel sorry for the majority of the innocent bystanders and business owners. It seems to be spreading like wildfire and it looks like people have been waiting for this for so long. Bundle this in with the unemployment, education figures, pandemic and general frustrations over the quality of life and it was bound to erupt again. I do wonder how long for this will go on for.
