Recommendations on sites to book caravan sites
Discussion
Got the option to borrow a caravan later in the summer for a few days. Last we stayed in a caravan was as a kid.
Can anyone recommend sites to use to see availability of sites to book? No doubt everything will be busy, but thought we would give it a try and see if there are any spots to book.
Looking to head to the south coast or new forest area.

If you looking at New Forest, try Roundhill campsite. They currently have no toilets / showers, so will be a lot quieter than the other sites in the area.
Obvs. only good for you if you are happy using your own toilet and shower. (There are plenty of fresh water and disposal points onsite.)
We stayed there a couple of weeks ago and the place was virtually empty.

There's a 15% off code if you book more than a week in advance.

Thanks. Toilets and showers might be an issue with the OH but will check it out. If you looking at New Forest, try Roundhill campsite. They currently have no toilets / showers, so will be a lot quieter than the other sites in the area.

It’s a ball-ache - outside of the big two, there doesn’t seem to be any one complete “aggregator” of the independent sites out there. Pitch-up is good, but not all encompassing. The big two do have good sites, but the randomness of independents can be endearing. And their funny little rules.
For instance, we are staying in our camper at a site which is about 30 miles away from home. It’s idyllic, right beside a loch, 95% statics with a handful of touring pitches. Only found out about from someone at my wife’s work…. We’ll be back, Mrs DTP loving SUP’ing around the loch in the quiet early morning.

Maybe Premier Parks might be of use...

Tbh I usually look at a Google search map using 'Campsites near xxxx' as a search. That way I can gauge how close sites are to towns/villages etc. Then I look at each one to check facilities and availability.

https://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/ has a good search engine and a very worthwhile 'review' facility which we have found to be generally pretty accurate
https://www.searchforsites.co.uk/
is the best one that I have found, covers the majority of sites, but there are always ones that slip through each sites net
You can also go to the local tourist office web site for the area that you want to visit
