I made a video

I set my D60 on the window overnight, taking a frame every 4 minutes. Unfortunately the camera didn't have enough battery power otherwise it would have run all day long.
I might try it again with the mains adaptor in it (think I have one somewhere), and hope for better weather.
PS the large thing that flicks into view on the right is one of the cats :D

I use a Canon remote for the camera, its basically a digital bulb. Its got a few options, one of which is to take a shot at a pre-defined interval. Its very good
I set the camera in Programme mode, that way it would automatically adjust the exposure to suit the shot, and not faff around with the flash

Nope, not with the D70. you need one of these
Sigh... except I don't have that kind of money right now...

Can't you run a D70 tethered to a PC and achieve the same? I think Canon's supplied S/W does this so maybe the Nikon one does?
This Capture 4 lets you do time lapse photography with a Nikon D70

Nikon must have an programming LIB too I guess. Gap in the market here I think!
No idea what an LIB is but if you can make one, I'm sure it will sell!

But needs at least a laptop in order to do it, which is cumbersome and I don't have one. The D70 simply isn't designed for such advanced stuff.
Right, just done my first timelapse movie!
used my D70 connected to my laptop running Capture 4.
Then used Sony's Pixela software that came with my video camera to make an .mpeg file.
movie's a bit boring, just took 30 photos of the clock at 2 min intervals, but it worked, going to try and get a sunset when the weather brightens up.
Thanks for the original idea!
