Ebay rip off

Ebay has hit rockbottom on sale fees now...SO WHY IS EVERYONE STILL BLDDY USING IT to trade.

They wanted to charged me 10 quid to add a reserve price LOL

I can't seem to seek anywhere else to sell that's got the buyers on it other than facebook/gumtree thats like dealing on the local market stall.

I've used them for years but this is ridiculous.

Ebay isn't what it once was. I used to buy pretty much everything there apart from clothes and food as it was usually cheapest, but Amazon is often cheaper now.

As a seller, do you find yourself setting your items at a higher price these days because of the fees?

I've stop selling on there now, use FB marketplace. Probably don't get as much but after all the fees works out the same.

Not bought anything from ebay in 10 years. Amazon has it all at one click. If not I Google it and everywhere accepts PayPal with 1 click. I do occasionally browse to see if my kew gardens 50p is still worth a decent amount and if any random crap before I chuck it out is worth more than a £1.

EBAY is bad for sellers now with their fees, the issue is it has no decent competition, there are other auction sites but no one uses them.
Gumtree and Facebook don't get the same sales and are probably worse for scammrrs than ebay is.
