Hi all,

I've got a few questions, apologies if they've been covered in the past….

I'm thinking of an Ultima but am a bit limited in terms of choice due to funds. I have some time to have a look at my options (the other contender is a Cerbera 4.5) as it's pending the complete of a house extension, but I noticed the Ultima in the classifieds for 20k - so as a result I thought I'd do some research.

How quick would 300 bhp be in an Ultima, would it be a fair comparison to my Chimeara 500? (that had 300 ponies and weighed about 1100kg from memory)

Would it compare to a 4.5 Cerbera which was in a different world to the Chim?

I'd want to up-rate the engine and aim for more around the 350 - 400 mark, would the Renault 'box handle this power?

Hope these questions aren't too silly

Hi, looking at the spec I'd guess that a 3.9L mated to a renault box is the usual Rover V8 / Transaxle combo rather than a chevy. I think you would struggle to get the power / reliability out of this combo you want for a reasonable amount of £££££.
