Yes. 2017's Audi S4 price and 2019's Volvo S90 price now gets you a mid range 150bhp Golf frown

I think we heard you the first time. If it were me at the moment I would give leasing a miss and use PCP or a bank loan.

Sorry I don’t know why the thread repeated so many times.
I did consider PCP but works out more expensive than PCH have been doing PCH last two leases.

Im looking as well and it appears pcp is significantly more than a lease, or at least what im looking at anyway.

It seems everything has a very small balloon at the end resulting in a huge deposit and bigger monthlies.

Leasing still makes sense for many who never intend of keeping the vehicle (that said many companies will now offer a purchase price at end of lease).

The other options you suggest, PCP your likely get a lesser spec for same money and require a decent deposit in most cases, pointless really if you never intend to keep the vehicle.

Bank loan, its not just leases but used prices are up as well, so your going to overpay now with no idea when the market will readjust, you could find yourself a couple of years down the road holding a vehicle that has depreciated heavily.

PCH still has its place in the current market, if you want fixed monthly costs and no worries about market movements and new models / facelifts impacting your vehicles future resale value.

Leasing as I have found gives NO FLEXIBILITY if circumstances or needs change. It also gives a feeling of dread to any potential damage come return time. I would URGE anyone to think very carefully about leasing especially as there are now no cheap deals to be had. There were maybe 2 + years ago ridiculously cheap deals which made leasing a no brainer.

Regarding lease v's PCP. It's very easy to do a direct comparison. But remember you will have to pay VED(car tax) on PCP but not on a lease

With any added extras on a lease you pay pretty much the full RRP over the term. Paint being the most ridiculous of them when the cost to the supplier will be next to nothing. Only the lease co benefits from this at end of lease not the customer.

We can't really help you make that choice.

Just go with the one you prefer, it will make literally no difference to the outcome if they're both the same sort of price.
