Didn't see any posts on this here.

I thought it was a 2 horse race between Elon Musk and Jeff Besos.

I hope travelling similar as Joe Public will be possible in my lifetime,

Pretty sure the Virgin fairground ride doesn't get anywhere near the Kármán line so doesn't really count.

Musk was never personally in the race and has got a bit too chunky to fit in a capsule.

He is the 3rd (or 4th even, as the first billionaire went up twice).

Why?
Just a pointless load of pollution in my opinion

He didn't get into space. There are rules. Life does not stop and start at his convenience, the miserable piece of st.

It's a fairground ride with no practical applications. A toy. And massively late.

Mostly the company turned into a stock pump.

Some people might say the same about your car choice.

Be careful what stones you cast.

Maybe he hasn’t been personally, but Elon Musk is sending rockets to space lake buses, and landing many of them. He’s the billionaire space daddy.

People that work for a company Musk is involved with are sending rockets in to space.

I’m not sure I’d be rushing to use a company that has landed “many” of their rockets biggrin

He must have been a tad irritated that it was overshadowed in the news.

No practical applications.

Well if we ignore the space tourism, imagine how quick using space could make a journey to other places. No sitting for 20-24 hours on a plane if it can be done with a hop into space in two or three...

Agreed. This was a hard won achievement, and deserves some recognition.

The British attitude to people trying something new is just an embarrassment at times.
