Didn't know where to put it, but given it's for food...

I'm after a cool bag rucksack thing to take food and beers to the F1 (and other events). Seems there is a good range on Amazon etc but thought some real world feedback would be good!

This one looked good, several compartments, blanket, 35L https://www.amazon.co.uk/Backpack-Leakproof-Insula...

or this

Sorry nothing helpful to add - Watching with interest...

35L seems a bit small (for a family picnic anyway)? Maybe ok if its just beers/wine

Previously I've just taken my 30l rucksack, it's been fine for the 2 of us. Few sarnies, snacks, water and 6 beers. It's meant to be hot for the race and these will keep everything cool. Plus can take other bits like hand sanitizer etc. So figured time to invest in one!

Thanks for all the super helpful replies!

Anyway, I got this one. I looked at all of them and this won. Big cool storage, with a open top zip (not side), big zip on top for easy access (hand sanitiser anyone!?), 2 front big pockets, side netting for drinks or towel/mat

Only annoying thing is there is no water tube hole like some rucksacks. I get that it'd let cold out, but it could be sealed.

There is a bottle opener on the strap. Are people going to add the extra weight of glass bottles over a can? Also there are areas that you can't or shouldn't take glass into.

Other than that it looks good, has it worked well for you?

I can't image they would, but it's good to have one on it just in case.

It worked well for Silverstone, not used it since! Everything was chilled in the fridge overnight, loaded up in the morning. Didn't use ice packs, drinks were cold 4 hours later.

Silverstone was one of the places that I was thinking about. I have camped there a few time and although they do not ban glass they would prefer it if people did not bring it.
