Love these. Great looking little car and a little bit understated compared to other similar options out there

We have a 1997 Barchetta, and you certainly wouldn't class it as a good one to look at. Little bit of rust in the seams, failed clock, speaker grille missing, air con U/S, bonnet opens with pliers (plastic handle on the end of the cable broken). But it's used a few times a week and is just lovely to look at, and to drive roof down. Such a shame the new 124 didn't have a better reception and a longer life. It would be a worthy replacement for our "B", much better looking than the Mazda in my opinion.

Enjoy the road trip.

I still love my Lusso plus after 3 and a half years, can’t see me ever selling it, though as it’s worth 75% of what I paid for it I have been more tempted recently.

Best bits - still turn round and look at it when walking away. Fast through the bends with loads of grip, and I like the body roll you get, it lets you know when it’s reaching its limits. Remap to 180ish bhp means it’s plenty quick enough when it’s only just over 1000kgs, and you get to use all of its performance. We’ve got a 400bhp EV on its way, and I know I’m going to find it frustrating not being able to boot it often.

Bad bits - screen with Mazda system is crap. When I get in the car I sort my music on my phone, switch off traction control and then the screen, every time in that order. Would like a heated steering wheel as the roof is always down unless it’s raining.

Enjoy yours, here’s mine

Absolutely adore these, I've had a couple from work both Abarth's . One was for a Bank Holiday weekend which I did over 400 miles in three days and the other was for my daughters prom last year. Would love to own one but prices have firmed up since I was looking in February. Cars that were £11.5 k are now £15k. So I bought a Citroen DS3 Cabrio as a compramise. One day........ I'll look again when they go sub £10k.

If it's a keeper get it rust proofed now ! I've seen these a few years old and already getting surface rust .

I really like these, l think they look so much better than the latest iteration of the MX5, the colour looks interesting. I’m sure you will have a lot of fun with it.
