Quick excel help

Sorry it should say Sheets, not Excel, but I believe it's the same problem in Excel too as I can't do it.

Please please please can someone tell me why this doesn't work! I'm losing my rag lol.



To me it should return 000000110 but it just doesn't. Is it something to do with formatting with me wanting the leading zeros? If so, how do I fix this?

It looks like the figures in Col B are numbers and the figures in Col C are text (in B they are at the right edge of the column, in C they are on the left side of the column)

You need to reformat B as text or C as numbers.

Guessing b and c are of different formats (number and text) perhaps try changing both to the same first?

Aye, the slight giveaway is the left/right justify of each of the columns which suggests that it's not all the same format.

PS also centre justify the lot once you've sorted the format

As above, try entering =B1=C13 in another cell and see if it says true or false
