Throwing myself before the majestic anoraks on here……

North bound on the M5 this morning around Worcester I caught site of a glorious machine, really made my day.

It was open wheeled ( probably had guards directly over the wheel but you know what I mean ) , finish was polished so it shone, the sill level was painted dark green and it had a Union Jack on the rear drivers side which appeared to be boat tailed.
Looked quite large, Bentley size maybe? It had an look of gentleman’s racer to it, maybe Alvis??

I prostrate before the fonts of knowledge ( geeks )

Kit car?

If you could have provided the wheelbase, wheel diameter etc. somebody here would have been able to produce a cgi of it and also worked out what it was but with the description provided it might be a while before the mystery is sol-vedd.

Nope, I’d deffo say not a kit car.
The more I think about it, the more it looked like the love child from a 1951 Bentley Special and an Alvis 12/70 if that helps……probably not though eh hehe
I’ve looked on line now that I’m home and can’t find a 12/70 with a similar tail end or any shots with the green sill level paint.

Anyway, it made me smile even if I never find out what it was, I guess the current weather brings out some cars you might not normally see outside of events?

Maybe they were on the way to Shelsley Walsh? Classic Nostalgia this weekend. Keep an eye out on their FB page for photos?
