Skydiver’s + spit over Hatfield house

Anyone know the occasion. Plane was flying in circles gaining altitude and stupid me didn’t realise what was happening until all shoots were deployed and nearly down. Then 20 mins later a spitfire put on a show I’m guessing is Hatfield house.







Was in the pool with the kids and my little girl is obsessed with planes ( took her to duxford last week ) and she was going mental over the spitfire, plus the noise and a beer in my hand it was a perfect evening.

Have to say OP, that the title had me. A capital 'S' would have helped.

I saw a Spitfire over Colchester the other afternoon/early evening. Doing a few climbs and rolls. Very evocative.

We had the Spit back for a week last week while the FOS was on. During the winter the Boultbee Academy fly out of Daedalus(hard runway), so we are lucky enough to have it over our house most weekdays.Never gets dull. They also fly the Texan in formation with it, and the Goodwood Harvard is often over. We bought a flight in the Spit for my father in law two years ago, however, due to health issues, he only took the flight a couple of months ago. Worth every penny, as there will come a day, where you won’t be able to to do this. We’ve also booked a flight for his wife in the Goodwood Harvard, which she is yet to take.

Me too. I had visions of skydivers raining saliva down on Hatfield House!
