Source for OE anthracite headliner fabric (E39/E46)
Discussion
In case somebody had to go through the same process - is there a local-ish (UK would be best, but Europe also fine) source for OE headliner fabric (pre-E65 stuff)?
So far, the only place that I could get a reasonably close match at was Global Upholstery, all the way in the US of A. This makes getting samples a very prolonged ordeal, and shipping is expensive.
Ah I miss the days when BMW sold materials by the meter..

Alcantara 9002 is what you need for an E39 colour match.

Alcantara was an option on M5s and Individuals, I am talking bog standard anthracite.https://www.ukhide.co.uk/product/alcantara-pannel-...
I might go for Individual-style alcantara platin or black when I have to do the whole roof, but not at the moment
Regarding this listing: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/184476003008
I've left feedback but ebay obviously removed it.
It might work if you are not bothered and recovering the whole thing, but if you are expecting OEM based on the name of that listing, prepare to be disappointed.
At £45 for cheap material it's a total rip off, especially considering virtually the same stuff is sold by reputable UK shops at about 5 quid a meter
