I recently purchased a golf mk7 2017 dq200 7 gear 80k miles on clock was driving fine no problem I drove 170 miles to holiday park pulled away from traffic lights after being in traffic put foot down and emergency gear warning come up on dash also saying still safe to drive on which I did pulled car over turned ignition of fault went 10 miles down the road back on again but this timeonly using gears 2 4 6 turned car off and then went only into 2nd gear got to destination called rac the came done check and came up POSITION SENSOR FOR CLUTCH 1 ELECTRICAL MALFUNCTION

Reset the code not came back again what do u lovely people recommend maybe a gearbox service ???

How recently did you buy it and was it a private sale? If you bought it from a Dealer, I would be making it their problem.
