Strange Bearing Noise
Discussion
I have a very faint bearing noise, that is not engine speed, or road speed related
It seems to be fixed pitch, but only (just) audible when the car is moving
It reminds me of the noise an old fan with phosphor bronze bearings can make when first switched on (also happens on my ancient PC)
The only thing I can think of is that it could be one of the ventilation fans rotating due to air pressure as the car is moving
To test this I've tried switching on each fan to see if the noise stops, except I can't tell whether it stops, or is being drowned out by the fan noise
Any other possibilities?
