By chance, I happened on a full set of BBS F1 wheels.

They were a proper barn find (literally in a barn) and the guy I got them from was an ex-Benetton engineer who'd had them kept away for many years. He was adamant that they were from Schumacher's Benetton but I'm struggling to identify which one / when.

I think that I've narrowed it down to the B193 but most of the shots I can find are in motion which make it very difficult to see the wheels.

Can anyone help?

I’d say they’re from the Benetton B198, certainly not earlier.

1993 they still used OZ, and for the years after the wheels were White until ‘98

B201 (2001) I’d say if colour and logos are original.

Launch in Venice.

Nothing matches for the other years.

Not off a B193 at they used OZ wheels on that. They are the same design as the BBS on the B194 - 197 but they were white, could be a b198 but they may have gone back to OZ that year.

That's interesting. Looked it up and the wheels *look* identical but are OZ and not BBS??

just to throw a spanner in the works they may be off a show car so stickered up to represent the supplier at the time. Are there no casting marks?

Hmm - some further digging has found these of the B194 which seem to fit the bill (or at least I hope they do:

Amazing how many non-static shots there are!

Yeah the white B194 wheels were only from Jerez onwards (last three races) so they ran black for most of the year.
