Odd pattern on new brake discs!

Hi All

I would appreciate any thoughts.

I replaced both the discs and pads on the rear of my Audi S3, and noticed the pattern shown in the photo on BOTH rear discs!

Wondering whether this might be an issue? Looks like they might be chattering (no idea if that’s a word!).

Any thoughts appreciated.

Looks like machining marks on the disc surface that have been highlighted by the pads now starting to flatten the disc surface.

Not a problem, in a few hundred miles I doubt you will even see it.

Those look like a surface finish left by the grinding process used to make the discs. That's nothing to be concerned about.

Hopefully you cleaned them before fitting and that isn't the anticorrosion coating you're seeing there.
