What shirt and tie with pale suit.

Good morning friends, I'm looking for some sartorial advice from some of the more elegant among you.
I'm normally a scruffy bigger, spend most of my life in shorts and tees, and therefore only have 3 1/2 suits, one charcoal black business suit, one which serves as formal wear with kilt or Trews, and one faun coloured llghtweight linen one which normally only gets used when I need something semi smart in warmer climes.
I'm going to a wedding today, an informal do outdoors on a hillside in what will probably be high 20's bright sunshine so I'm opting for the light linen suit.
My question is, what sort of shirt and tie? I was looking at a soft collared white cotton shirt with a bright yellow silk tie but my wife says no, they just don't match, soft shirt really needs to be tieless.
Most of my shirts tend to be dress, business, or outright casual, and my ties tend to be flamboyant almost to the point of novelty. I might have to buy something on the way.
What do you recommend?

Controversial, perhaps, but I'd go with a pink shirt and a blue tie. I also have a similar coloured suit.

I did wear it at a wedding in June 2019 with a black shirt and a gold/black paisley tie, but that was because my ex insisted on wearing a black and gold dress in the middle of summer. I should have known then.

Just wear one of your flamboyant shirts.

Makes sense. Linen looks scruffy 10 minutes after you put it on.

White or pale blue business shirt, with a darker blue tie (pale/pastel pink will work with a white shirt). Are you wearing black or brown belt/shoes?

I had many years of "having to" wear a tie for work when there was no practical reason to do so so I built up a small collection of "interesting" ties to protest/relieve the boredom. I don't get much chance to wear a tie nowadays so when I do, I like to be "that guy".

To be honest, "the Scream" tie is a fair match to my wife and 'll be wearing brown shoes and belt.

Very brave to wear a pale suit to start with, I was persuaded to buy a light tan suit by Mrs 87 some years ago, I always felt like a dipstick when everyone else was wearing dark blues and greys. It was also taken to the cleaners more often than an unskilled gambler.

The suit didn't last long.
