The current Vantage and DB11 models will be replaced by all electric cars.
One of them (no mention of which one, but the DB11 is the oldest of the two) will go on sale in 2025.
Interesting that the introduction will be 5 years ahead, of the UK ban for petrol engine (only) new sales.

This is where the world is moving and really rather quickly. At least there appears to be the will and hopefully the investment to make it reality, or AM will be in the history books. Will an electric AM be compelling? Who knows, but if all the competition is in the same boat, then they will need to find a USP in that new market as they have in this.
I haven’t got one yet, nearly there but isn’t the engine the heart beat of an Aston and that glorious sound, I am not sure what an electric Aston is going to bring to a market that already has lots of such cars

The government accepts that a hybrid car, is one which can only travel for 9 miles on battery power.
The Aston Martin Valhalka 'complies with the rules', as the global internet businesses like to say.
I would like a future category, where my electric car can only travel for 9 miles on V8 power. -
(Did you notice the mention that the Valhalla can only go in reverse with battery power? Might be awkward
if the 9 miles of battery have already been used early during a journey.)

Some people might still be moaning, but don't forget, car makers will cater for petrol heads, with sound generators.
There will be a loudspeaker on the roof (disguised as a fashionable roof intake) to play a choice of sounds.
We will probably be able to select from Hoover Upright Classic; Dyson High Speed Hand-dryer; Aston Martin V8V with 200 cell cat.
Additional cost option of course.

No mention about the rumoured facelifts in 18 months time? Are they not classed as replacements? I guess not judging by TMs comments. The window for buying one of the last Aston Martins with a petrol engine is getting narrower and narrower, that’s for sure. Very sad, but a sign of the times. I try to lighten the forum from time to time, but most of the time, I think I am the only one laughing at my jokes.
Often AMers might think my attempted humour, is a serious comment.
Sometimes need to read between the lines (or maybe they are just not funny).
Global governments have all panicked, theyve seen the EVs that have come out of the Musk factoy and think that this is the only way forward, so now all goverments are push, push push, apart from the fact that the infrastructure for electrical charging is just not there and there is not the power from the generators to charge these cars over night. Hydrogen is the way forwards as it keep the internal combustion engine in the cars and with little/no emissions. The generation/manufacture of Hydrogen is powered by renewable generators (wind/solar) so no or very little emissions from producing the Hydrogen.
To go down the EV route is crazy, there are no way enough power plants in the UK to charge all these EV after 2025.

The infrastructure for this delusional ideology is nowhere near in place. In fact, I'm not even sure anyone is doing anything about getting it in place. Funny how there is absolutely ZERO mention of any credible infrastructure plans in the media or by the politicians (charging stations are not primary infrastructure, and windmills and solar farms are not realistic infrastructure). But hey, nuclear is still a dirty word and a no-go zone, and hydrogen may as well not exist for all the attention it (doesn't) get.

Electric cars now seem to be of increasung interest, to new car buyers who have the money to afford one..
We now see some of the new green strips on number plates, where previously blue EU strips were proudly displayed.

Are you envisaging in 2030 there will be a public backlash, because of power cuts and inability to charge cars ready for the following days journey? Best not be a prime mover this time then.
