This is a superb job, with a Honda S2000 beautifully transforming an MGB GT.

Glad they've not been tempted to put fat arches or de-bumper it.

Some orange indicators would make it perfect.

Looks a great conversion, looks factory!

Few interesting engines in these of late, friend of mine has a Focus ST170 engine in one that again looks a factory install.

I’m very envious of folks who can turn their hand to this sort of stuff. Regardless of opinion as to whether it should stay original or not, that is a super smart installation.

This is a great resource if anyone wants to see more MG conversions, most are with detailed info.

At Warlingham classic show I saw a MGA that had been converted to a S2000 engine. That looked very well done as well.

Fiat engines were the thing years ago, IIRC, but my thoughts are what do the insurers think about the modifications? They seemed to be getting somewhat antsy about such mods, and let alone the DVLA attitude!

That is one of the very best conversions - I have seen, better than original and the 'stock' look is spot-on!

Whilst the S2000 engine is a master piece (I have driven 3 and the 'rush' from 6k revs to the red line just has be experienced) I would want a slightly calmer 4 cylinder engine in a B to suit its character a little more? Perhaps one with good torque and not so 'revvy?' - MX5 - ST170 - engines have been mentioned however, a modern 2.0 turbo engine with 180-210bhp....would be great?

However, if I happened to be given this gents MGB GT, I would be delighted!

Wow, absolute amazing. I would love to see a video of this car on the road. And apart from the wheels and the revcounter there is nothing I do not like. This is truly a masterpiece and compliments to the builder.

Seeing MG badges all over that jewel of a Honda engine is making my blood boil.

I think I should actually start a new thread entitled: 'The worst Honda S2000 conversion ever!'

A very well executed conversion.

Personally it wouldn't be my first choice of engine, I don't think a high-revving engine suits the character of the MGB.

At the other end of the spectrum, I saw this last week. The badge on the back reads "MG Jagnette", and it has a leaper on the bonnet.

That's quite a well known car.

Hmm. A quasi Innocenti approach?

DVLA should be OK on the substantially modified test so long as the monocoque is not fiddled with and enough other original bits are kept.

My first thought was what an Alfa Nord would be like instead. But, as another poster has suggested in another context, possibly too revvy an engine.

Or, more madly, and probably more MGC territory, a 3.2 Busso from the 147/156 GTA, presuming it could be made RWD in the available space.
