435i back box removal
Discussion
Hi guys,
Is a back box removal worth doing for improvement on sound on my 435i? Currently have the res removed but was looking for just a bit more sound from the exhaust. The only downside is the valve will stay open if I get it done, so eco pro will sound like sport mode. I don’t want to spend 1k+ on a cat back neither
If anyone on here has had it done on this car or similar I would appreciate your thoughts.
Thanks in advance

How well sealed are the underside of a 4 series to the inside?
As you will be gassing the exhaust gasses to the underside of the car, rather than out the rear.....
Also won't it look weird at the rear, as there is probably cut-outs for the exhaust which will no longer have anything in.
Would be better of spending a couple hundred on after-marked backbox's.

No, leave it alone for God’s sake. You’ll be inside the fecking thing. Don’t deafen the rest of us
You'll think cool, everyone else will think t

It might not give you the sound you’re after - a friend deleted the back box on a 530i e39 and it sounded lovely under load quiet all other circumstances, but another friend did the same on a seat Leon and there was literally no difference in sound.
The resonator that you’ve already done seems to be the most popular option for your car

Yes true. I’ve seen quite a few vids with the back box delete and resonator on my car but the videos don’t do it justice. It does sound currently pretty good, going to have to just think about itThe resonator that you’ve already done seems to be the most popular option for your car
