A Memorial Outside Your House

Yesterday I saw a memorial outside someone's house. Actually, it was quite 'busy' with a few markers/framed photo's and even two mini headstones - on the pavement - but right up against the fence to a private dwelling. It wasn't obvious what had happened but it clearly suggested the site was the last place that person was alive.
Near where I live, a woman crashed her car several years ago and there was a fatality (I think she hit a pedestrian) as a result of it. Similarly, the house adjacent to the incident has since become an annual remembrance/memorial for the deceased.
How would you feel about your home/fence becoming a memorial for the (sadly/tragically) deceased?

Previous owners wife died in the house after a long illness.
A memorial outside would seem very strange but I do appreciate the extension he built so she could have a nice view of the garden for her final days.
I don't think she'd appreciate the view of the garage I built on that garden shortly after moving in though

Doesn't have to be tragically deceased either.
A few years back, a scrote on a stolen motorbike came off and died nearby where I used to live.
His scrote friends decorated the lampost where it happened (presumably after scraping the remainder of the guys head off of it).
They then had a big party and in some sort of council memorial, left all of their empty beer and spirits bottles all around the lampost.
Every time I've driven by, it's decorated in some form. I feel for the home owner who needs to look out on it all day. They can hardly remove it considering it'll be obvious who has done it.
