V12 O2 sensor: Replace all 8 at once?

My 2014 Rapide S is in the (independent) shop to deal with a regularly reoccurring CEL, generally with codes P0136 (O2 Sensor Circuit Malfunction, Bank 1 Sensor 2) and P0137 (O2 Sensor Circuit Low Voltage, Bank 1 Sensor 2). They want to replace all 8 sensors, claiming that if I replace only bad ones that the others will likely soon fail in succession.

First off, does this make sense to you? It doesn't really to me, but I'm not an expert with these engines.
Second, holy smoke, Aston wants something like US$420 for these sensors, which is CRAZY. Any advice? I presume these are standard off-the-shelf sensors from some supplier.

Not making sense to me. Just replace the failed sensors and if/when any others fail replace them. I’ve had 2 replaced on my car and the rest didn’t fail in sympathy shortly thereafter.

Cant remember exactly which ones the o2 sensors are but they are not AM only so you could purchase them from any car parts supplier with the right product code.

Scuderia list the rear sensor part number as 1R12-3910175 at £125.29. Item 12 (click on the pic to expand it)



If you can get the part number from the old sensor you should be able to get this for a lot less on a Google search.

Your garage probably wants to replace all 8 to be sure they replace the correct ones! Unnecessary overkill, and you may find some are very difficult, or impossible to remove, I had 2 seized in that had to be replaced when I did the 12 branch manifold conversion.
