I'm fairly certain an eagle flew over the local park at about 8 am. It was being escorted by several gulls and the impression was of a very large bird that was all wings. Definately way bigger then a buzzard.

I'm trying to find a tracking sight.

Might be a white tailed eagle on it's travels, silhouette would be a bird that's very considerably larger than the gulls or a buzzard would be and especially obviously with an even shorter tail.

Probably unlikely given the location to be one of the Isle of Wight/Roy Dennis ringed birds but worth shooting them an email to check if it's one of theirs but perhaps more likely to be one of the birds from Europe or Scotland having a wander over.

There was a red kite living near Plank and Leggit. I've seen it in Sawley, but not as far as West Park.

Not seen it since first lock down.
