Ferrrari 312 T4 Transmission

Watching Henry Catchpole's video about the Ferrari F8 Tributo he makes reference to Gilles Villeneuve testing the 312 T4 with semi-automatic transmission but was never further developed in the early 80s.

Can anyone give pointers to more information. Apart from a post on another forum, Google offers nothing.

Apparently, it was a T3 with the gearbox designed by Mauro Forghieri.
