Veganism - cultural appropriation
Discussion
Just had a read of this https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2021/07/31/five-t... (find your own paywall workaround) and just had to laugh.
Seems that when you invite professional complaining types into the fold they'll always find something to moan about. However far you go will never be enough to make them happy.
Maybe one day people will work out the best way to deal with loons is to leave them to gibbering to themselves somewhere quiet rather than waste time trying to pander to them.

They will all be examining their hierarchy of victimhood. Thus is the life of the professional tankie.Seems that when you invite professional complaining types into the fold they'll always find something to moan about. However far you go will never be enough to make them happy.

"Zuri claims to have “brought a perspective to council that challenged not just trustees as individuals, but also the systemic racism and oppression that exists in any organisation set up without any time taken to look at diversity or inclusivity … and with a white supremacist structure...”
Come again? The Vegan Society? Yep.....
"Robb Masters, the former chairman of the society’s council, complains of a “toxic environment” which saw Zuri face “hostility”, with other “oppressions” being commonplace, including transphobia - prejudice against transexual or transgender people - and ableism - discrimination in favour of able-bodied people."
Jeeze, these people need to get proper jobs

Tom Walker and Andrew Doyle, once again, hit the nail squarely on the head.

That's good....
Groups like this are self selecting for the barking mad members of society.
Why on earth would the average person join a group on the basis of what they eat? I’m not a member of the “Bacon and Pork Products Appreciation Society”, though I do eat a lot of bacon. It would never cross my mind to join such a group, even if it existed.
If you take 1000 vegans, statistically about 10% of them will be weapons grade loopy, that 100 vegans will be the members of the Vegan Society, and once you have enough loopy people in a small space, weird s
t like this happens.

Because they need to feel special and it also gives them victim/minority status thus their feelings MUST come before everyone else's..Why on earth would the average person join a group on the basis of what they eat? I'm struggling to eat now, a couple of days ago I saw a video of a female saying eating meat was cultural appropriation with a spurious link back to slave trading and now i'm told veganism is also cultural appropriation? What am I supposed to eat as a Caucasian male?
Could try eating Vegans?rxe said:

I'm sure that somewhere on a vegan forum someone is making the same joke as Isaac Hunt, but about car enthusiasts, even though I doubt many of us go around telling random strangers we like cars.

Being vegan isn't just about what you eat though...whereas your example is entirely about what you eat.Why on earth would the average person join a group on the basis of what they eat?
