Five year old river death

This story started with what I thought was a boy wondering out and falling in to a river but now 2 adults and a 13 yr old arrested on murder. Possibly neglect? Terrible waste of life.

I don't suppose it's appropriate to speculate, at the moment, but at risk of doing just that: they might arrest the adults for neglect, but difficult to see how the 13 year old could be deemed arrestable on such grounds?

I have no idea what's gone on there but there seem to be a lot of things happening at the moment where you just think WTF has happened there.

Its not just at the moment, its all the time. It just doesn't always get reported in the news.

The way I saw it reported was that it wasn’t the boys family that have been arrested.

Bridgend - my home town. It rarely seems to make the news for anything positive.

Anyway, tragic story, whatever the circumstances end up being. 5 years old - breaks one's heart.

This is a very tragic case. This comment may not get much sympathies but I hope the 13 yr old arrested is being appropriately looked after - I see how America deals with juveniles and it makes me shudder, I hope we’re better than that as a society.

I know the area well. Absolutely tragic loss of life. No clue as to the circumstances, locally speculation has been kept to a minimum. Of those arrested, it's not been clarified if they are the parents or not. Police have stated they are supporting the family, but that could be immediate or wider family.

I haven’t seen anything that gives that impression, would you mind sharing what you’ve seen that gives you this POV?

My reading of it was that the body was found in a river, but he may not have died in the river.
Sad that a kid so young ends up like this.

Just the way the report was written.

Also, the young boy has now been named-something unlikely to happen if the people arrested were family/parents/siblings.

Only the step father with murder though it seems.

Mother & step brother with PCOJ. Assume due to some sort of covering up whatever has gone on...
