Ice cream + jam
Discussion
Why has this never occurred to me before? I've been missing out! I just had a bowl of vanilla ice cream with a dollop of raspberry jam and it was magnificent
So much better having actual fruit in it than the tiny amount you get in shop bought raspberry ripple ice cream.
I can't stop thinking about the possibilities. Blueberry jam, ginger preserve, lemon f
king curd!!!
Peanut butter also works well as long as it is pure peanut butter (the type that separates and has to be stirred in the jar). Normal peanut butter is too thick.

Got a griddle pan for your barbie ? Rhubarb/berry fruits with a small amount of demerara sugar to caramalize and the obligatory splash of JD Honey , takes minutes . Also halved plums soaked in JD then face down go beautifully with a dollop of ice cream .
Quite often I blitz an equal amount of frozen raspberries or mango with natural yoghurt and a desert spoon of honey , keep it in the freezer and sample on a hot afternoon .
I'm not a fat bar steward either
