Excellent news. Much more needs to be done about this, and about fraudulent calls and texts.

I suppose at least they were a genuine company, not fraudsters. The real problem nowadays seems to be foreign criminals trying to defraud the unwary- and they ignore TPS registers completely.
I understand why some people keep loud whistles next to the phone. Probably not wise though- it might really be your bank!

Got a cold call from a company in Brighton asking if I wanted to book my funeral in advance! I'm 59 and live in Yorkshire ffs! I'm also on the TPS.

I suspect most of them are elderly people who dont really understand what they are signing up to and wouldnt have signed up to this company if they had respected the FREE TPS scheme.

so use the term genuine lightly.

Oh, I agree. It's just that those attempting to empty your bank account are more of a worry.
