Thoughts on the Skoda Rapid / Rapid Spaceback?

As the title says really. Seen a few nice models around 10k for a 17 plate. Mainly interested in the sport version with a 1.0 litre petrol engine. I like the look of these ones more than the Octavia so would love people's opinions on them. Interior looks nice on them too with some good tech.

I have not sat in the Rapid, but the Scala is pretty spacious.

I always thought the Rapid in race blue was a pretty damned good looking car. Way better looking than an A3. Shame they didn't make an erm erm RAPID version.

I recall seeing a member on here having his re badged Rabid which made me smile.

They're decent cars but thy do seem to have high NVH levels from a lack of sound deadening, I feel there are better options out there for your budget.

Kia Rio 1.0T these have a Tech/Spec list that's a clear step ahead of the Skpda & they're a smart looking car:
