Every 9000 miles or 12 months which ever comes sooner.

'A Dealer' in Scotland will cost quite a bit more.

£325 for an A service which I had recently, I was told by the sales guy that the B service was about £500 and the C service about £1000! About probably means more as he said the A service was about £300

right so assuming it's serviced at the correct interval rather than once a year we're looking at

AS - 1k
A - 10k
A - 19k
B - 28k
A - 37k
A - 46k
C - 55k

?

No..

AS - 1k

But this is outside the normal servcice schedule.

A - 9k
A - 18k
B - 27k
A - 36k
A - 45k
C - 54k

And don't forget that all services not only carry a certain milage, but also a time indication.

So a very low-milage car that's old enough may need a C-service at 9k because it's more than 4 years old.

Actually 'A' and 'B' services should be done at least once a year, irrespective of milage.

Bye, Arno.

What's the big deal?

Depending on the service needed you just factor it into the price you pay... haggling skills 101

When I was in Sinclaires a couple of months back for a B service on my 3 year old S2 I am sure I remember them mentioning that Lotus are now recommending cambelt change (which is part of the C service I believe) at 4 year intervals not the manual quoted 5 years) meaning it will require changing next year. Christ hope I didn't dream this or will get shot to bits!
