I know nothing about these, so be gentle.

Iv'e just built a pergola for my girlfriend, 20ft x 8ft.
We are after a projector to use in it, something not to dear, and something simple to use.
Had a look on ebay=millions of them!

Will be used for watching films.

Will it not be too bright for a projector?

What's your budget, and what light levels do you want to use it in?

I bought a 'cheap' £200 WiMiUS K1 for nephew's birthdays to use indoors, but they've also used it outside after dusk on a cheap projector screen.

They had one of those "£100 down to £30" facebook offer ones claiming full-HD (it was actually 320x240), 1000 lumens (Chinese lumens, so about 200 in real life) and 100" screen in daylight (but has a photoshopped image), but as a toy it was probably fine to leave with the kids.

That looks like it will be ok. Will only be used at night.

Can you clarify, the bottom picture is the £30 facebook one and the top is the WiMiUS K1?

Both pictures are from the WiMius K1, as I couldn't get a good enough picture of the crap that came out of the Facebook special mini-projector (which looked something like this, and is about the size of a paperback book). Usually to be found for £50, but there's always a 'special offer' for £30 or so - but they're only worth that if you've already got cataracts, or are simply expecting it to be a throwaway toy for your toddler.

But most people give it a good review because - if they're like my niece - they will get a 50% refund voucher in their parcel if they leave a 5-star review, screenshot it and send it to a gmail address.

These are the sort of images they show on facebook/amazon for these cheap mini-projectors,...

The reality is more like this in pitch black room (room with no windows) from 3 feet...and that's with the phone automatically switching to 'night mode' (not my pictures, these are from the Amazon reviews).
